“ I Am An Artist This Summer.”

SUMMER ART PROGRAM

2026

Imagine your child painting at their own pace, all summer long.

What if your child got the whole summer to paint at their own pace?

A real painting - their subject, their idea, made the way only they can make it. Some children will finish their painting and want to start a new one. Others will pour the whole summer into one ambitious piece. Both are wonderful. Both are how real artists work.

This isn’t a class where everyone follows the same steps. It’s a small studio where each child works on their own painting, takes the time they need, and learns what it really means to make something they care about.

Four things that make this program different

01 · Your child decides

Your child chooses their own subject, their own materials, their own way of telling a story. I don’t ask them to follow a template, because the paintings that mean the most are the ones that come from the child themselves.

02 · Time to think, time to revise

Paintings develop across multiple sessions, enough time to observe, plan, revise, and persist. This is how real artists work.

03 · A small group, with a working artist

Capped at 4 children per session. As a practicing artist, I work alongside each child, helping them slow down, look closely, and learn to trust their own artistic voice.

04 · A small studio exhibition

The summer closes with a small exhibition at the studio, where each child shares the painting they’ve made with their family. Final paintings are framed and ready to bring home.

FAQs

  • Absolutely. The program doesn't require any prior experience. What matters is that your child is curious and willing to try. I'll be there with them from the very first brushstroke.

  • No problem at all. The program runs every Sunday across the full summer break - June 14 to August 23. Your child can miss a few sessions for travel, and the painting will be waiting when they return.

  • Wonderful. They'll choose a new subject and begin another painting. Some children will complete one ambitious piece over the whole summer, others will make two or three.

  • I warmly invite parents to visit the studio before the program begins. It's the best way to feel the space and how I work. During sessions, children focus best without parents observing, so the class itself is a space just for them.
